Sunrise Beach has a quieter, more natural feel than its northern neighbour Sunshine Beach — its streets back directly onto the Noosa National Park, and the suburb has retained a mix of original beach cottages alongside more recently built contemporary homes.

The east-facing orientation is the dominant shade challenge here: from early spring through to late autumn, morning sun floods into alfresco areas and living rooms from first light, creating glare and heat gain that is difficult to manage without a quality outdoor blind system.
